Blur II - Chords & Tones Sample Pack

From dreamlike textures to noise-bathed harmonies - Blur II features 113 deteriorated, degraded, analog processed chords, tones, and loops. Every sound was put through a hardware signal chain consisting of magnetic tape, vintage delay circuits, distortion, and analog filters for a magical combination of noise, saturation, and filth. This pack is particularly wide ranging in it’s timbres, featuring the many variations on the grit and grime one can tease out of these devices.

Blur II features one-shot chords for use in existing tracks or as starting points, and one-shot tones for use in any hardware or software sampler. There’s a folder of freeform loops featuring both melodies and textures perfect for chopping and dissecting. And finally, the pack features a folder of heavily processed melodic phrases. Analog synth tones, tape loops, noisy pedal feedback explorations, and expansive reverb pads are all included.

All of the sounds were recorded at 48kHz 24bit via UAD unison mic preamps and SSL gain staging, EQ, and compression. The sounds were mastered for maximum detail, EQ balance, and clarity. Chords and pitches are outlined in the filenames.
